My Name is Bradlee
Bradlee was a character I created inspired by the xenophobia prevalent throughout the Northwest. He was a fun way to expose some of the gentrification hypocrisy I was experiencing in Portland. You know, people who had moved here not so long ago ranting about people who had moved here less long ago.

I invented Bradlee as a way to create a public dialogue about gentrification in a thought-provoking, non-threatening way. I held seminars as Bradlee in venues around Portland and was eventually invited to bring the show to PICA’s TBA festival. Turns out it’s really easy to make fun of new age dot.com Californians who move to Oregon. While Bradlee was initially a performance, I created this film for film festivals.
